When you use Eligio, we collect:

• Account information — your name and email address, provided via Clerk (our authentication provider).
• Uploaded documents — resumes, certificates, publications, and other evidence you upload for analysis.
• Analysis results — AI-generated reports, scores, and recommendations based on your documents.
• Payment information — processed securely by Razorpay. We store transaction IDs and tier information but never see or store your card details.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To analyze your visa eligibility and generate your report.
• To process payments and manage your account.
• To improve our AI analysis pipeline (we may use anonymized, aggregated data).
• To communicate with you about your account or service updates.

3. AI Processing

Your documents are processed by AI models provided by Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI (embeddings). Document content is sent to these providers solely for the purpose of generating your analysis. We do not allow these providers to use your data for training their models. Your documents are not shared with any other users.

4. Third-Party Services

• Clerk — authentication and user management.
• Razorpay — payment processing.
• Anthropic — AI-powered document analysis.
• OpenAI — text embeddings for semantic search.

Each provider operates under their own privacy policy and data processing agreements.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in encrypted databases. Uploaded documents are stored securely and accessible only to your account. We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication tokens, and access controls.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Uploaded documents and analysis reports are kept to allow you to access your results at any time. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Your Rights below).

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — view all data we hold about you.
• Deletion — request complete deletion of your account and all associated data, including uploaded documents, analysis reports, and payment records.
• Portability — download your analysis reports as PDF.
• Rectification — update your account information at any time through your profile settings.

8. Cookies

Eligio uses only essential cookies required for authentication (Clerk session cookies). We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. No cookie consent is required for strictly necessary cookies under GDPR, but we inform you of their use here for transparency.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
